Your guide to using the Marketplace, Auction, Wallet, Portfolio, and valuation services

Last updated: September 2026

Mazaal For Auctions Organizing Co. L.L.C.

This guide explains how to use Mazal services, from creating an account through buying and selling plates, taking part in auctions, and using Wallet, Portfolio, and valuation services.

Terms & Conditions

01

Create an Account

To start using Mazal:

  1. 1

Create an individual or company account using the information requested on the Platform.

  2. 2

Complete identity verification (KYC) during registration.

  3. 3

If you are a UAE resident, you may register using Emirates ID or a passport, provided Emirates ID is uploaded within 30 days if you register with a passport.

  4. 4

Users outside the UAE may register using a valid passport.

02

Transfer the Plate to Mazal

Before you can add a plate to the Marketplace or list it in an Auction, plate ownership must be transferred to Mazal's traffic file.

Traffic file number

51671290

After the transfer is complete:

  1. 1

Mazal Operations confirms that the ownership transfer is complete.

  2. 2

The Add a Plate feature is activated on your account.

  3. 3

You are then ready to add the plate to the Marketplace or list it in an Auction.

Why is the plate transferred first?

Because the plate is already in Mazal's traffic file, there is no need to review or verify the ownership certificate when adding it to the Marketplace, which makes selling faster and smoother.

03

Add a Plate to the Marketplace

After transferring the plate:

  1. 1

    Choose Add a Plate.

  2. 2

    Enter the plate details.

  3. 3

Set the price you want to sell at.

  4. 4

Publish the plate on the Marketplace.

Please note:

  • Mazal Operations does not approve the sale price.
  • The plate is published immediately after the add process is completed.
  • You may remove the plate before the sale is completed, subject to applicable terms.

04

Buy a Plate or Make an Offer

To buy a plate:

  1. 1

    Browse the Marketplace.

  2. 2

    Choose the right plate.

You can:

  • Buy at the displayed price.
  • Or make an offer if the feature is available.

Please note:

  • You may submit up to five offers on the same plate.
  • The seller may accept the offer or make a counter-offer.
  • The plate is not reserved until payment is successful.

05

The amount due is shown clearly before you confirm payment, and includes:

  • The plate value.
  • Execution fee (4%).
  • Clearing and settlement fee (1%).
  • Ownership transfer fees

Mazal currently covers ownership transfer fees and RTA fees for Platform transactions.

07

Full Payment or Instalments

Mazal provides two ways to complete a purchase, depending on what is available for the plate.

Full payment

You can pay the full purchase amount in the same checkout session to complete the transaction immediately.

Payment in instalments

If instalment payment is available, the full purchase amount must be completed within four (4) days.

If you need more time:

  • You may request an extension.
  • Mazal Operations contacts the seller.
  • Any extension depends on the seller's approval and Operations confirmation.

If you do not complete payment:

  • The purchase is cancelled.
  • Eligible amounts are refunded.
  • A penalty of AED 5,000 applies.

08

Escrow Account and Ownership Transfer

All sales go through an escrow account to protect all parties.

How it works:

  1. 1

    The buyer completes payment.

  2. 2

The amount is held by Mazal in the escrow account.

  3. 3

Plate ownership transfer procedures are completed.

  4. 4

After ownership transfer is complete, the seller's proceeds are moved to their Wallet.

  5. 5

The seller may then request a withdrawal.

In this way, funds are not transferred to the seller until ownership transfer is completed successfully.

09

Wallet

The Wallet helps you manage all your balances and financial transactions on the Mazal Platform.

You can use the Wallet to:

  • Receive proceeds from plate sales.
  • Hold Auction deposit amounts.
  • Use the balance for purchases.
  • Request a withdrawal.

Wallet withdrawals

  • The minimum withdrawal is AED 350.
  • Mazal currently charges no withdrawal fee.
  • Approved withdrawal requests are processed within 24 hours.

10

Auction

If you want to sell a plate through Auction:

  1. 1

    Submit the plate for Auction.

  2. 2

Mazal Operations reviews and approves the Auction start price.

  3. 3

The plate is displayed for three days.

  4. 4

Live Auction starts on the fourth day and lasts 24 hours.

Taking part in an Auction

To take part in an Auction, you must deposit a security amount.

The minimum deposit is: AED 5,000

Bidding capacity

Your maximum bid value depends on the deposit amount.

For example:

  • AED 5,000 = up to AED 50,000.
  • AED 10,000 = up to AED 100,000.

When you win the Auction

If you win the Auction:

  • You must complete payment within one business day.
  • Execution fees and clearing and settlement fees apply.
  • The deposit is returned to the Wallet after the purchase is completed.

If the winner does not complete the purchase

  • AED 5,000 is deducted.
  • The user is blocked from adding plates or taking part in Auctions for two weeks.
  • Mazal may contact the second-highest bidder to complete the sale after the seller's approval.

11

Portfolio

Portfolio is a monthly subscription that helps you follow the plates that matter to you.

The service includes:

  • Adding one or more plates to Portfolio.
  • Receiving a monthly valuation for each plate.
  • Tracking changes in estimated plate value.

You can add plates to Portfolio even if you do not own them.

A plate appearing in Portfolio does not mean you own it, and a valuation is not a guarantee of its sale price.

12

Valuation

If you want to know a plate's estimated value, you can request the valuation service.

How it works:

  1. 1

    Submit a valuation request.

  2. 2

    Mazal experts review the plate.

  3. 3

    An estimated value is issued.

Service fee

AED 1,500

Valuation validity

The valuation is valid for one month.

The service may include a valuation certificate with an identification number or QR code for verification.

Please note that a valuation is an estimate of market value and is not a guarantee of the actual sale price.
